An old B-Class.

Difference between ours is about 30Nm or you have .06% more torque, in a heavier car....:) however the SL has a better power to weight ratio.

Where does that leave us when it comes to overtaking performance (genuine question)?

But, I'd still like the V8 sound. I did once have a Dodge with the 5.7L V8 Hemi engine and even my wife loved the sound of that beast.

The circa 2001 SAAB Aero (I think it was the 98) was better at 40-70 than the current 911s of the time!

Given the 0-62 times difference between the 400 (4.9), 500 (4.3) and 63 (4.1), .8 sec is not going to be a huge help in overtaking. ;):):)o_O

What happened to the 63S (3.0) = 1.9 secs? ;);)

I was trying to cite a neutral source (as youtubers have had sub 3 second runs) so plomped for this one: https://www.zeroto60times.com/vehicle-make/mercedes-0-60-mph-times/
Reasonable !
All seem better than the published figures from what I saw. I wonder who compiles it? My 63 is now 3.4s after a stage 1, I wasn’t bothered too much about that stat when I had the remap ( torque was more interesting), and in itself no good as a comparison as I never checked it before!
But days when I can get the power down it certainly feels quicker from the off.
I’m off to research how much lighter the 4.0 Bi turbo is than the 5.5 now....

Trying to look at "vaguely" comparable cars - We could start adding a Ferrari 488 GTB to the comparison....or the Cadillac CTS-V with 640hp :)
