I have a couple of tiny stone chips and a little scratch on the car.

After taking my chassis number - MB sold me paint sticks, one silver (car colour) and one I think is clear.

But no instructions what to do with them and howto apply.

Anyone have any advise please ?

If your car is metallic silver wipe the area with spirit, lighter fuel is fine, shake the little bottle of silver for 2 mins. the apply to the stone chip. Do this in the sun so that the solvent in the paint does not hang around too long and soften the original, when dry 5 mins in the sun you can remove the paint that is on the original with your finger nail. It will take several coats as paint shrinks when it dries, when you have built it up, apply the last coat, leave it ½ a min and wipe it with your finger,to smudge it, this will take away the darker look of the new paint.

Leave it to harden for a couple of hours then very lightly T cut the area, with no downward pressure.
I never use the clear as it is darker than the original two pack top coat. though the base coat paint is not a finish in itself it looks better with no top lacquer.
I did a DIY for this and lost all of it when my computer went down

FANTASTIC advice, I'll follow it by the letter on one of the chips tomorrow if the weather is fine.

As always ..... thanks Malcolm.

If they are very small chips it is quite a good idea to use a cocktail stick to put the paint on, the brushes can be a bit big.

The best result is obtain by sticking one of the sticky circles use for repairing binder pages. Stick on over the hole, and mask an area at least 2ft all round leaving just the small hole in the center of the binder circle, spray the patch with aerosol leave 2 mins and lift off the masking paper with the circle, after 10 mins in the sun you can take the paint off the original with you finger nail. do the same 1 hour later, keep doung until the height of the new paint is correct.
When you are happy apply the last coat and un mask then leave for 2 days.

Lighty T cut around the repair, though you will always see it in certain angles, for the best part, though you know its there, it will not show.

Do not use the clear it will not blend. you can wax the base coat is is and it will look good.
If ever you have the area resprayed you must tell the firm that you have waxed base coat, if you do not tell them, the area will blister up in no time.
