I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction.
I have had a email warning from MB HQ of a low battery status on my CClass for two mornings on the trot now.
I have just mega checked the amperage draw on my battery my putting my mega in between my battery negative terminal and negative lead and with the vehicle shut down and it’s sitting at 8 Amps which is obviously way to much .
Does anyone have any idea what could draw this amount of Amps when car is fully shut down ?

Thanks for any advice

Do you notice any problems with it, Starting, sluggish starter, charge light?

Is that 8 amps, after locking the car with all doors/bonnets closed and waiting 20+ minutes?

Ah I need to wait that long ?
yes, most go to sleep fully after 3-4 minutes but some cars take longer, especially with command or bluetooth stuff that often stays awake for a long time.

But when you unlock the car to open the bonnet to put a croc clip on the neg cable, the car will wake up ?????

Yes, this is why we extend the leads outside the car and shut the boot lid on them (or click the latch closed)
This is my plan ..crocodile clip the mega to the battery neg side then shut the bonnet and doors and wait few minutes b4 taking amp readings .
