I have a faulty sensor, possibly two.
Can anyone recommend a good quality replacement at reasonable price?
I'm assuming OEM will be pricy..?
Loads on ebay at cheap money but are they garbage?
Need to get it mended asap, I've got used to having it. Reversed into my wheelie bins on Friday night.
Doh!

Im struggling to find the correct parts aftermarket.
Does anyone have a definitive solution.
Several sellers listing the part and saying it fits a 2006 R171 350.
Problem is that the pictures in the various listings show different connectors, 3 or 4 pin i think, but all claim to fit!!
I need to buy the part and be 100% sure its correct so i can paint it before attempting to fit.
Anyone....?

Thanks for that.
Thats one type, round 4 pin.
There's also an oblong type which is i believe 3 pin.
Totally different type but also stated to fit.
I'm lost.

Ahh I see the problem. If this were my car and in the absence of anyone having a definitive answer I'd be looking to see if there was one I could access easily to get out as a pattern. Do you have to take the bumpers off on yours to do the full swap?

I need to double check but info so far requires bumper removing to access sensors.
I need to find out which is easiest to remove i suppose.
Have a sensor failure front and rear....
Nothing is ever easy...

We had two front sensors (of 6) out on the CLK and one occasionally iffy one at the rear. I decided to replace all 6 at the front with new to give the best chance of not taking the bumper off again (hopefully) in our ownership. The rear one is OK at the moment but I have kept the good front ones as spares and will do that when the weather is a bit warmer.

No idea for the SLK but I thought the idea of removing the CLK front bumper a little daunting however it was far less trouble than I'd imagined.

When I did the rear sensors on my 55 plate r171 SLK 350, it was the 3pin oval sensors. I hope that’s the same for the front as I have 4 ready to be installed hopefully next weekend.

I havent actually seen a good pic to check the pins inside the oval sensors.
I'll message the seller and check how many pins before ordering the oval type.
Thanks again.
