could be worth dropping Parrot an e-mail if the seller has none left. you can prove it was bought new, and when, via e-bay, i believe

well looks like the fitting company are trying to get out of doing anything, they have decided that it must be a fault with the unit because there is no power to it???

at home now so going to have a look at everything, on another note does anyone have the removal details for the stereo so I can get in and take a look, did a quick search but couldn't find the how to :( my day just seems to be getting better:mad:

removal guide for factory headunits on www.mercupgrades.com too

knew i had seen it somewhere on the net as well so that must have been the place, for the life of me i couldn't remember the url lol.

well oddly enough i went to pick up mrs V6 yesterday evening and the bugger decided to wake up and work as normal??? the annoying bit is go back in the car this morning and nowt, nada, neit and every other word i can think of for begger all.

so i'm now in two minds on what it can be, i have a horrible feeling the unit is going to be at fault , anyone else have any ideas or experiance with these units?

thanks again for the comments (including the parrot jokes) and ideas will be very annoyed if i have to get another unit.

Could still be a dodgy switched live feed.

will be taking some time over the weekend and remove the head unit to take a look at what it could be, i have a feeling it could be the unit has slipped from where it was resting and needs re attaching, that might explain the intermittent power.

Thought I would give you all a quick update on this. Had everything out over the weekend and the last few days and I can't find anything wrong with the wiring or the unit, and oddly enough I've noticed that the unit doesn't work in the morning but by the afternoon when I finish work it's fine and working again? Really confused now, I even bought a charger to put in the car just in case my battery was on its way out and not holding its charge any longer but that was fine as well. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's getting damp over night and not powering up for some reason and of coarse with the weather at the moment it's drying out pretty quickly.

Any new thoughts on what I can check? Do have a bit of a damp smell from the ac when the cars first starts so blocked pipe somewhere do you think?
