Hello
Can anyone recommend a good reference guide that explains MB part numbers? More specifically, I am trying to source a used distronic sensor for a 2008 E320 CDI W211 from a breakers. (MB main dealer new are close to £3k !)
My sensor is labelled.
LU A 211 540 11 62
HW A 211 540 32 17
FW A 221 442 05 56
HW 07/12
SW 07/12
The nearest I have been able to find (which looks physically identical)
LU A 221 540 84 45
HW A 221 540 04 17
FW A 216 442 04 00
HW 04/37
SW 05/26
My local Indy reprogrammed the system back down to standard cruise control when the sensor failed, but if there is half a chance of getting back to full distronic without a mortgage I'd like to try.
I am suspecting, despite appearance, this unit is not going to be compatible, but I would like to learn more about the ID numbers and see what the difference is.
