Phone buttons/operation in C-class ???

Hi All,

can anyone tell me how the phone system works in the C-Class, (05 model), i dont seem to get a responce on the display panel when i push the phone buttons, it just says no phone, and the phone symbol does not appear on the radio display, Can anyone advise how this system works please ?????

do you have a cradle? - the phone system is an extra which you may or may not have (buttons are standard but not the trickery to make it work) and if the car is fitted with the phone kit, you also need either an MB phone cradle to plug your phone into, or a bluetooth cradle.
