PRI Racing £109.26

If they offer a discount on that price, the E-Bay ones will probably still be cheaper at $99 unless they are going to offer 60% off which I doubt.
Let us know what they say.

I hinted they would need to match E BAY Hong Kong:smile:

Hi,
That seems a lot of money for a L.E.D. bulb and resistor.

Just buy a wirewound resistor from Maplin for each bulb. Its what I did. Wired in parallel with each bulb.

All it does is lower the resistance of the circuit so the warning system is fooled into thinking the bulb is drawing the correct amount of current.

Sorry guys, stupid question coming up - what's it for?

Sorry guys, stupid question coming up - what's it for?

Introducing the new PIAA Tera sidelight LED made specifically for European cars which will bring up a dashboard warning light of a blown bulb if using other LED's.

Featuring calibrated electronics, to enable the Tera LED to become invisible to the on board computer system thus preventing the activation of the bulb blown warning indicator. Superb 6500K colour temperature emits a bright eye pleasing light.

Fitment - Mercedes Benz W203, Audi A4, Peugeot 407, VW Golf MK5.
Notes - The black holder and the led bulb are one complete unit (as seen in image) and cannot be seperated.
Pack - 2 led units and electronic packs for a direct plug in replacement. The wires to the electronic packs have a (not seen in image) plug to fit into your existing holder for the connection.

Do I need these special ones for my 129 or can I get away with bog standard LEDs. I suppose the real question is, do I have a blown bulb warning light?

Try one out from the local "boy racer auto shop" . They are about £6
You will have to try it both ways, as the polarity must be right.
Sometimes they flash intermittently, which means they won't work without resistors (built in to the new ones)

:D

Just remove a bulb. You'll either get a warning or you won't.

The warning happens because LED 'bulbs' draw much less current than a filament bulb. The car then thinks the bulb is open circuit, hence the warning.

I bought mine from ACEparts on Ebay. That guy is also a regular on Pistonheads. Heres how they look (ignore the headlamp out):
