Places for parts (aside from Mercman)

I'm looking at getting an engine part for my W126 (idle control valve, to be exact)

What other places would be worth getting a quote from? Mercman were very helpful, I'd just like another couple of prices to compare to :)

Thanks

I can recommend SLPagoda.com, used them many times and aways impressed with John's prices and quick delivery.

Why not try MB directly and see what they can do.

Thanks for the replies guys :) Just sent an email to SLpagoda...their website contact form isn't the best! Also fired one off to Dronsfields and PC Merc Centre.

Did you not quote them the VIN number? Surely you cannot go wrong if they work from the VIN?

I don't know if they actually asked me for the part number! I definitely told a couple of companies I emailed

Anyhoo, rang Ian today and told him the part number...gonna post this one back and he said he'd get the right out in the post tomorrow :)

Hopefully it'll all be fine!

Well the part arrived a week or so ago (was at my local PO for a few days as well!)

I fitted it today, and it does seem to have made a pretty obvious difference! I need to give it a few days and a some cold starts to tell for certain, but I think it's fixed the idle issue :) Hopefully it'll make the car a bit more sell-able if it has!
