The various trays on the underside of my 2004 ML270 have been held in place by some small plastic stoppers with a screw thru the middle. Managed to break several them removing tray for an oil change today. Dealer only part or are there other options ? About the size of a penny.

You can get spurious ones but the correct ones are coppers and they fit, the others have to be adapted.

Just get yourself down to the dealers, they are not that expensive. I haven't found any non OEM ones that don't ping off after a few days.

Part Number :- A 163 990 02 92 Rivets, they cost approx 50p each.

I replaced all the ones on mine as weathering ages them and makes them brittle. They arent actually screws but friction fit, so yu lever the center up with a fine blade until you can get some pliers on them, then pull down and the whole inner and outer comes out.
