Not sure if this the right place to post.

I had a 2015 MLB which had one USB port in the console. I was able to copy my iTunes library onto a flash drive, plug it into console and play songs. Traded for the 2018 GLE which has two USB drives in console. Plugged same flash drive into one of the ports and the car recognizes the drive intermittantly, and doesn't really play. Trying to find the best way to be able to play songs off my old iPod classic. Maybe there is a more efficient way to do this? Any suggestions?

My old Ipod works fine in the 2nd USB port (not the CarPlay but the other port).

I had the same problem with flash drives.
I'm not totally sure but I think they need to be formatted to FAT before they will work properly
