Please Help! SL500

Hi All! Newbie Here after some help!

I have got a 500SL 1993 with two annoying faults. The first is an intermittant missfire. Normally from cold it is fine. If taken on a short journey and switched off for a short time then go back to it, it can missfire? I have fitted new plugs and leads but no good?

The second problem is the remote fob for the central locking. It is the one button with the flip key. It works at night but not in the day??:?:
