I think you will find that the vehicle speed signal originates in the ABS module. The signal is calculated from the wheel speed sensors and from the ABS module it will be a digital CAN signal to other modules.

Speed Pulse Sensor 2007 vito

Thank you AutoFix for your reply,

does anyone have any idea where i can locate the speed pulse sensor on a 2007 vito mpv it is a diesel with an auto box, as autofix has rightly pointed out a digital feed could be taken from the abs module, and i have been told possibly from the speedo.

The problem i have is i need to fit a kenwood sat nav system to my uncles vito but having lifted off the front carpet and the lower trims from the vehicle the only way i can see to get the the instrument cluster is to lift off the entire dash which looks like a timely job, i can see the ecu tucked in the middle of the dash but have no idea which wire i should be looking for.

If anyone can help me out id be grateful, or even an idea where to obtain a wiring diagram for this vehicle it would be of great help.
