I got my wheels changed from the standard 16" to 18". when i drove about 3miles my steering started shacking (They nearly fell off) and i have four faults on the car now i have changed the wheels back to 16" the faults clear when i turn the car off but when i start driving they come back and the car goes into limp home mode the faults are EPC,ESP,BAS and abs is it possible they have damaged something when changing the wheels as there was no fault before the change my car is a 2001 E320cdi
all the best

I would imagine that a wheel speed sensor has been dislodged

If the wheels were not hub centric you can never balance them

Check there are no obsructions in the way with the 18 " wheels first.

Turn the igniton on, and with the engine running, turn full lock to the right for 5 seconds, then full lock to the left for 5 seconds. This may clear the faults.

Have the 18" wheels been balanced properly?

Just a wee update I put my car into my local garage today and i called me up and said that the car is throughing up alsorts of malfuctions and that there is nothing out off place eg brake sensors or speed sensors so i picked the car back up in limp home mode and went back to the tyre fitter who changed my wheels and changed them all back to the standard ones and low and behold the car is perfect again but i dont see how putting bigger wheels on the car would cause this problem ? i am just delighted its ok now
thank you very much to all off you for all your help
all the best

If the spacer were not hub centric,,they do cause problems
