I have used Armorall Sheild for many years and have been very happy with it's performance and ease of use. It beads beautifully and doesn't leave plastics and rubber looking white and doesn't leave dust everywhere. I think it was 2015 when it won Auto Express Best Buy. I have now used the last of it and need to replace the empty bottle. :)

However, things have probably moved somewhat since then. So, I feel it is time for a change, what is the best in the market place now ?

Used to have a C63...
If I'm doing the full Monty, I've got Natty's Poor Boys (like Armour Shield, more a wax than polish per se). It gives a superb shine on a dark car, and seems to last well.

Maintenance washes, I normally use either Sonax or Meguiars Quik Wax just to keep a top coat on.

That said, I also use Armour Shield still, if I don't have time for a full polish/wax, but want a bit more than Sonax.

Like you said, goes on easily, comes off easily, doesn't mark, and gives good protection.

(As an aside, we also use it on rotor blades to protect, and help keep clean... Helps airflow over the blades).

I am going to give Bilt Hamber a try. Just ordered some off of Amazon. Reviews very good in fact 1st place with Auto Express whereas Armorall takes third place. Worth a try anyway :)

Black car ! Have a read up on Poorboys Black Hole , it has swirl filling properties and sits between polish and wax ....but you don't need to polish a car if there is nothing wrong with the paint .

I have been trying my luck with Williams Waterless Wash and Wax and i think its very good .But i wont use it right on the car, thats if its dirty . You can use this on every thing on the car ,rubber and glass as well, other than the front screen ...Just come off Autoglym with no real loss of shine or protection ,just had enough of white bits left behind after polishing . With any polishing job its much beter if you use microfibre clothes .

I use their Quick Wax, it is an excellent product and really easy to work with, a coat of Sonax over the top works well

Just to say this because i missed it off my above post ,,that the wife can now do her car herself in under 20 min all over and she has had both hips replaced in the last year , its so easy to put on and off .Saves me doing it now . She even uses it on other things in the house , and its what it said on the bottle. Very good for shower glass and stainless steel .

ive always wondered which polishes don't leave white on the rubbers
Armorall Shield definitely doesn't. :) It is in my estimation one of the best out there !

And i know Williams Waterless Wash And Wax. I have never ever seen any left over residue in any form . You use the polish on every thing on the car ..I used all types of car polish over time . And for the length of time that it takes you to clean your car this product knocks hours of any car cleaning job i have ever done . The beeding is there for around a week . But its so easy to apply the next time ,and will get better the more you use it. Use it on a wet car or dry car .It said it waterless .But i would never clean my car dirty with just polish alone ,it said you can but i dont . Wash off first to remove the grit ,then put the polish on . It will clean everything in the home as well. My other half [war depot] lol , she uses it on the glass .shower cubical .Good also for double glazing . Even used it on my guns and fishing tackle .

I would guess that the ones that don't say they don't , and the ones that do don't say they don't :D

Already ordered Bilt Hamber, however if it produces a load of powder and white stains on the plastics and rubber window surrounds I will probably go back to Armorall Shield :)

It doesn't

It was dry and sunny here this morning but quite frosty. I took the opportunity to de-ice and dry off the boot lid to try Bilt Hamber. Very impressed, it was so easy to apply and buff off.

Just did the boot lid so as to compare with the Armorrall on the rest of the car which was done only last week. Almost easier to use than the Armorrall I have been using. It has a much deeper finish to it I must say. This afternoon typically it is raining and the beading looks much better too. Can't wait to do the rest of the car now :)

Well, I have now polished the whole car with Bilt Hamber and I must say I am very impressed with the ease of use and the great finish it leaves.

My only complaint is that the tin ends up like a piece of wet soap so it has one or two dents is it now LOL. Recommended !! :D

I've just been talking to a mate of mine in Norwich. He used to run a Formula Renault team. He said that on his race cars he used to use Mr Sheen !! :)
