Pollen Filters

My 1991 124 series 300CE, which has factory aircon, does not have a pollen filter. I was surprised to discover this. Is this normal as I thought all 124s with factory aircon had pollen filters?

This is normal dealers did a retrofit kit which takes about 15 mins to fit check with dealer to seeif kit is still available.It fits on the fresh air vents on the windscreen scuttle trim.
