Poor Running SLK200 R171 2005

Hi my 2005 SLK200 r171 is experiencing running problems. The idle is very erratic when hot, goes between 800 and 1800 revs on idle . It has started to run poorly, sloww take up and feels very sluggish.

The engine management light comes on intermittantly stays on for a day then goes off.

Any suggestions please,??? thanks

First suggestion would have to be take it to a good Mercedes specialist who knows these cars and get them to have a look.

You may have skipped valve timing, split breathers, oil in wiring loom or who knows what, but you must have the fault codes checked with whatever further steps are necessary to find out.
