My 1991 300CE (SOHC) has a slightly lump idle and is not the best cold starter, needing the accelerator to be depressed when starting the engine. Runs fine when on the move.
To try to cure the problem it has recently had a new lamda probe (previous one faulty), professional decat (Cat was rattling) and a full engine tune up including new sparkplugs, air filter and fuel filter. All engine diagnostic readings were fine except for lambda probe which has been replaced. I have checked the air intake/throttle linkage which is fine but was wondering whether this problem is symtomatic of a faulty Air flow sensor or EGR Valve or something else. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
