Possible Front ABC reservoir failure on CL500 C216 @ 62K miles. No ABC warning lights!

Thanks Dean, did you resolve it? what was the result … was it a reservoir? Or something else.
It’s difficult to tell in the video where the noise was coming from - seemed like it was the rear left wing

The noise sounded like it was coming from the rear of the car, but i. Fact it was the pulsation dampener on the ABC pump.
I bought one online and fit it within minutes.
Noise was gone instantly

Has anyone else heard that MB have now officially stopped doing refurbished expensive parts, like ECUs ABC pumps and struts. I heard a rumour it’s now brand new or nothing? They need to make money!

Seems odd....Im pretty sure that they would make more money from refurbished parts than new.....the cores owe them next to nothing.

Yeah pretty similar to the whine when he backs off the throttle. But I do not get a ticking sound. Just the hum, almost in sync with the revs

Sadly mine is just the normal 5.5L, and it’s difficult to fit quickly on these engines , luckily MBS know how to do it, the main dealers wanted hundreds for Labour .
