This car has distronic you can see that the Mercedes star in the grill has centre filled which the radar sits behind

All W213’s have the star “filled in” so that isn’t the clue it has distronic anymore :(

That’s interesting, the car shown in #10 doesn’t, if so the change was >18/19 plate, as you say not conclusive the later cars have it if that’s the case

My late 2016 W213 had the “glassed in” star but no distronic, neither did all the other ones I looked at. I’ve not looked at the latest iteration of 213’s to see if they’ve gone back to an open star on non distronic ones though

Thanks folks, all good stuff this.

Is it a decent “supporting indication” that cars with Distronic all have the “distance lines” buttons on the right hand steering wheel cluster?

Non-distronic ones certainly don’t, and I’ve found in the E Class and CLS from 18ish onwards that each one that has Distronic has got that panel on the wheel.

Might be model specific, but certainly helpful for me.

Regards
Matt

What really concerns me is how the secondhand market has ramped up the price of all cars especially those 3/4 years old if we were in normal times that car would be selling for <£30k. When manufacturing gets back to normal there is going to be a huge adjustment in secondhand values

Your right there buddy . I'm being offered 20.5k for mine . To buy an equivalent I'm looking at 30k plus .

And 38k for an 18 reg e400 is just taking the p. It's not even got a full LCD display Inc the Speedo.

I bought my SLC300 (Premium Plus and every option ticked) for £35,000 almost 5 years ago with 100 miles on the clock. Today I see SLC300's ( non Premium Plus with next to no extras) and 10,000 miles on the clock going for £30,000. A couple of years ago I looked at selling mine and gathered I might get £15,000, tried a couple of weeks ago and £23,500 seemed to be the going rate.
