when i put my foot down at a giveway or at a standstill sometimes the car does not set off for a second or two even if i give it some gas!


i have recently aquired the car and am about to get it serviced, but any ideas on what could be wrong?

Not to clear on your posting, does the engine rev up ok, or is it non responsive, if the engine does rev up but slow in taking off you could change the gearbox oil

Is the auto box in W mode?

If the car is new to you, have tried others - some auto's are slow to pick up (diesel auto's can be terrible) but Merc's are usually OK.
