I have a bottle of green synthetic power steering oil to spec MB 345.00

Will this be suitable for a W220?

Thanks for that Malcolm.

No point giving MB silly prices if the same spec can be bought for less than half price.

Would I be correct in thinking this fluid would also be suitable for the Viano (W639)

It is a pleasure :D

Does that make it cheap at ½ the price :D:D

No, it's still power steering fluid:D:D

I just don't want to give the MB dealership any more money than I have to:twisted:

I have turned my other computer off as the noise from them all drives me dotty, I will take a look when I turn it back on

Malcolm,

I have just had an email from the manufactures of the said power steering fluid and they say that their product is not suitable for my S-Class.

They wrote

I have looked on our software & the specification fluid you require is MB236.3.

Any thoughts?

BB00 40-P-0345-00

I missed the 2 zero's off the end and this is listed for 220 cars without code487a

BB00 40-P-0345-03A is for the 210, 170, 202,208

This revision is dated 24-03-03 operating fluid changed from
BB00 40-P-0345-03A to BB00 40-P-0345-00
