Hi All,

Just a quickie,

Can anyone confirm that the Power steering fluid for a S320 is the same as the ATF? (the MB handbook just says MB Power steering fluid)
Think this may have already been covered before, but just checking before i put it in.
All the very best,

I would double check with MB.

On my 1995 W124, I use the MB power steering oil, A0009898803, and, as one never buys gallons of the stuff, there's no need to get too concerned about comparing prices.

I think it's true to say that some older MBs could use ATF, although, I suspect the truth is much more complex.

I also know that many garages and DIYers will put ATF in without a second thought.

I posted this up a few weeks back,,I can have a look to night if you remind me,,I am sure on a 140 it is a power steering fluid, as some cars use a tandem pump for the suspension as well
