Ok, I suspect my C36 is in the early throws of suspension drop link failure :( Over the last few days i've been hearing the tell-tale knocking sounds coming from the front of the car when i've been going over uneven roads :(

My questions are, a) How much will a dealer charge to supply and fit these bits (a rough 'ball park' will do!)? and b) Could it be anything else?

The reason I say that it that 6 months ago I had the same sounds which dissapeared after the car was 4-wheel aligned, so i'm wondering whether something has come loose?

Any advice is greatly appreciated as its the small things like this that really...'upset me' (translated: P*SS ME OFF) LOL

Thanks...

Maybe you're right but a friend of mine has a 2001 C230K Coupe which sounded like mine does now when he bought it.

It got steadily worse, until eventually all you could hear on rough roads was continuous knocking from the front of the car...luckily his car is still just in warranty...

I dunno, if I can live with the noise I might just wait until its 81,000 mile service, as long as its safe to drive.
