i have a c180 sport and the battery went flat and after jump starting it, it hasn't been able to hold the idle. Normally it would start on the button but now I have to give it gas to start it but then it justs drops if i don't hold my foot on the accelerator. I had the same problem about 3 years ago and had to have a new throttle valve installed at a cost of £500 as you can imagine I don't want to have to pay that again. Surely it can't be the same thing again. any ideas anyone?

could it be the fuse in the mystic 'Overload Protection Relay'? These apparently blow after jump starting and then the cold starting mechanisms all fail... Its next to the ECU on a 190E. Dunno about C Class tho...
