Problem with park assist/parking sensors after changing parts

Hello,

We were involved in a car crash (minor - somebody hit us on the front left side, which affected more stuff inside than could be seen from the outside). Our car stayed at the mechanic for 2 months, long story, the car didn t need so much fixing.

When we got the car back, we saw there is a problem. No error shown, but when we want to park the yellow linea are all the time like in the picture, they don t move anymore. We don t want to take it to the same mechanic, cuz he started with "yeah just leave the car and we re gonna have to see what it is". I don t want to leave it again for 2 months, cuz obviously he was delaying us on purpose.

It is a Mercedes GLE 250.

Welcome. Was your mechanic a Mercedes dealer or independent specialist? For something like this, I and I'm sure other members of this forum would suggest taking it to an independent specialist for diagnosis. Most 'normal' mechanics don't have the experience or diagnostics to remedy these sorts of bespoke issues.

As Harry suggests, I think you need to take it somewhere that can 'talk' to the car & properly diagnose the fault & chalk it up to experience
