Is the time on the command/ system central display correct or does that also keep changing ?
I will be interested in following this as though the clock in my S212 is not spinning ther is a 1 hour difference between it and the system time which i am trying to find a cure for.

what DATE does the car think it is - even that might be misleading if you haven't disconnected the battery since May 2019

satellites rotated their dates in a muddle up of a 19 year cycle and nasty programming in april 2019 - thus your car no longer knows what year it is - its most obvious to the end user where it muddles daylight saving

there may be a software update to fix it....

Mmm food for thought there. Mine shows a completely nonsense date, from memory something that's several years before the car was made. Is it recommended to disconnect the battery for a while to get it to resync from satellites ?

...then it needs a software update BUT its look like Merc never bothered to make it for your car

there is no such thing as reset or re-sync - satellites beam out the time and date continuously and the car see it the split second the comand is on - for no good reasons many systems then pretend they need to wait - like Noika built in 20 min delay to make you do a data connection so they can spy on you etc.

its entirely due to the usual 19 year WNRO rotation - your car is now unable to make sense of the info the satellites beam out, the ONLY way this can be resolved is via updated software added to each individual car - my 221 had the same issue (like most Mercs - some - and I suspect W213's got a late 2019 software update - go to services menu, left nudge and hold the comand knob for 10 seconds and you get a choice of epoch's to select - choose the correct 19 year cycle and everything goes to normal)

For the W221s a USA guy reverse engineered an update disc and wrote updated code as Merc couldn't be bothered.... (then Merc adopted his work - I added the two systems Merc forgot they made on a later disc - like everything these days no one has a clue - its deliberate).

Hello everybody!
I have a problem with my anoluge clock spinning out of control [/MEDIA]
an interesting idea would be to deselect daylight saving and see if the two clocks align....

when (if) they align but to the wrong hour, selects a different country (Belgium should then take you to english BST - for this time of year) and you can swap back to UK in the winter - its crap and your time of arrival will be 1 hour wrong

another post about their clock being 3 mins out is a related issue as the clock is muddled - here disconnect the vehicle battery at 11:58 and 15 seconds before midday / midnight reconnect the battery and it will spin to midday they try cross ref real time from satellites - as it won't find them. it will just carry on. But the 3 min lag bug will be gone for a year or so

ticking a box in a menu within comand should be easy?

on mine you go to region - select your country - and then next step is "do u want daylight saving" tick yes or no

It has to go around the full 24 hours I think to sort itself out, takes a little while and is kind of unnerving

Being made for the USA market is it set up to see Euro satellites, or would a software upgrade sort that?

pretty sure satellites are satellites - a cruise missile won't be much cop if it gets lost half way to see putin? or maybe that why we needed them at greenham ;)

@Oktay96, u spotted the date is all of a mess, maybe your model just spins the clock - that way more likely to get you to a dealership to spend some money ;)

WNRO a STANDARD event in satellite world where they expect them to die after 15 years, so only had a date that lasted 19 years,

1st rolloverAugust 21, 1999; 22 years ago1
2nd rolloverApril 6, 2019; 3 years ago7
3rd rolloverNovember 20, 2038; 16 years' time0
4th rolloverFebruary 14, 2137; 114 years' time0

I gave up with trying to understand why my analogue clock doesnt align and now just regard it as a waste of space in the instrument cluster. So long as the digital clock reads the right time thats ok.
