Hi all, i am having trouble with my 220 W115 mercedes, the car has been in storage for nearly a year, and i have just recently tried starting it, and after charging the battery the car started, but to keep it running i have to keep the gas pedal to the floor, and even then the car judders badly.

The car has the non fuel injected engine, has a 175cd stromberg carb, 4-cylinder engine.

P.S. the dizzy cap doesnt fit properly.

Might be worth looking inside the carb. Corrosion can build up if all the fuel evaporates. This in turn can cause needles and floats to stick
