Which end, dif or gearbox?

Dif end, easy, undo center bearing then the 6 bolts on the doughnut, large old screwdriver and prise off dif.

Gearbox end, support gearbox, take off gearbox support, undo 6 bolts on doughnut, prise off as above. Please use new bolts when fitting new one.

Just a note about prop doughnuts: they're supplied with a compression strap round the outside and you're meant to remove the strap after fitting

If you don't remove it, what happens is this: you drive off and 10 minutes later there's a "Sproing! tinkle clank" noise and you screech to a halt thinking the worst. When you find the strap 20 feet behind the car a sickly grin spreads across your face

This "happened to a friend", obviously, and not to me

Just for your info, they dont come with straps anymore, and fitting is a little fiddly but not impossible.
