Yes it was almost 14 years ago when I got the car. It was originally a leased company car that I have driven from day one until now. This is my classic car and I have performed all timely maintenance at MB dealerships.

It has served me very well until recently when the car started to suffer from cold-start stall issues. This has been well reported and documented in MBO until August 2010, but the problem went unsolved. I have started a new thread with info of what appears to be finally the identification of the root cause (722.6 box torque converter clutch) and a fix.

Most probably there are not too many 722.6 box equiped Mercedes around here by now but, if interested, you can find it at:
