I have had an issue off and on with the left front proximity sensor telling me I am dangerously near something when I am obviously not. It will be fine for weeks then act up. I have had the software reloaded twice but it keeps coming back. Also engine cut off at stationery has a mind of its own. Again won't work for months then suddenly working. The button for engine cut off will be green but the display will show orange with a line through it all the time. When it decides to work the display will be green obviously. Is this a recurring fault anyone else has had? Is there a solution? Also abnormal wear on drivers seat door side from getting in and out. I only wear chinos so no rough clothing. Strange. No not obese. GLC 250D 4MATIC December 17 Reg. Any advice welcome.

Auto stop start is very dependent upon having a really good battery.

Seat wear, is yours an AMG-Line with Artico fake leather? Artico wears very badly Unfortunately.

Does the proximity (I'm guessing you mean parking) sensor only play up in wet weather or following a car wash? If so it may be leaking water into the sensor.
