hello again all, 2nd posting in a week from a newbie!. Anyway, had a good look through the older posts a noticed some references to C class saloons and coupes tending to pull left. I had this on mine which was very obvious from day one. In a nutshell there is a 100% fix. The guys where I bought my car (MB Harrogate) checked the tracking AND made adjustments to the camber/castor angle by way of removing adjusting bolts and fitting new ones which apparently you shear off when the angle is right. The car is now OK and since the tyres have got a few miles on them the steering seems to be getting better all the time (weird or what?)
The adjustments made are all within MB limits so no warranty worries. Anybody else had/got the same problem? Also someone said that large wheels (relative to the tyre) "exascerbates" the problem, how would this be? is it gyroscopics? less rubber more alloy? Hope it was alright to mention the dealer concerned but not the two "boffins", for their sake, who sussed it. Mail me if you want to know more. Great forum by the way

pulling left

Hi

Glad to hear you are happy with the adjustments made this is a well known fix but does result in uneven tyre wear on the front you will need to rotate them at more regular intervals to keep this to a minimum. Im not sure what you meen about sheer bolts this is a new one to me. The adjustment bolts generally fit in three posistion 1 minus 2 neutral 3positive the same bolts are applied to both cast and camber fixing points
