Purchasing a 2004 C270 cdi CLK

Hi All,

I have owned a 2002 C270cdi estate now for about 3 years - great car a few probs but easily fixed. The problem is this was my first merc and now i'm hooked!!! I am considering a change, my Mrs has just bought a family wagon so the need for the estate has gone away. I am seriously considering a C270 cdi CLK. Any of you folks out there have any experience of them?? What should i look out for? My estate needed a new fly wheel at 120,000 miles and also had to replace air con pump, both costly but thankfully both repaired under dearler warranty. Only other issue was a bouncing passanger door button - resolved for £35 quid and £20 fit. Any top tips on what to look out for when purchasing greatly appreciated.

The Valeo radiator problem was sorted by Sept 2003, so 2004 cars should have cleared any pipeline storage of cars. Ours is Sept 2004. Great car, nothing to warn about except cracking on the high level boot lid brake light (replaced under Service Plus!). Engine is 5 cyl and can be noisy when cold but when warm it's a great relaxed motorway cruiser. Acceleration and torque are massive.
Only done 23500 miles so cannot give high mileage info.
Research Service Contract Plus to go with any purchase as 2004 cars are eligible.
