Slk 230 1999.
Nearside 1/4 window will not raise or lower and is stuck halfway.
Looked inside the window rubber and reattached the bowden cable back onto the pullies, the regulator is trying to work and then meets resistance and the cable jumps.
The window appears to be very loose compared to the other side,so i am thinking it has come out of the runner, thereby causing damage to the cable.
I will need to replace the regulator assembly, quoted £150 just for the part.
Does anyone have experience of stripping the inside out to get to the window mechanism, indeed if a drawing is available that would make life a lot easier.
Cheers

Thanks for all that info Malcolm.
Dismantled everything today, took about 20 mins to get it out and in bits, the info you sent in German was invaluable.
When i got a quote from my local merc dealers they wanted £225 for labour,Quote 2.5 hours plus £135 for parts.
They must think we are idiots, anyway dismantled the spools and the cable had come off the guides and was wrapped around the teeth inside.
The cable is still in one piece but cannot be used again.
I am in the process of finding some cable and fittings to make my own, merc won't supply just the cable,I wonder why not!
Cheers
John
