ive got a slight cyclical "whup,..whup,..whup' noise and a slight vibration which I think is coming from the rear.
I'm thinking maybe rear bearing or prop shaft bearing?
I will get it up on a jack and check them when I can (away with work tomorrow), but they look like plain bearings, not taper (from diagrams I've seen).
Has anyone experience of changing them?
Are they easy to get out?
Special tools?
And most crucially, do you have a recommended supplier, I've seen SKF and SWAT(?) bearings on the bay, but will any correctly sized plain good quality bearing do?
Are there any bits which should be replaced at same time?
.... will it require Herculean strength to shift bits, as I've currently got tennis elbows and tears in tendons, so if yes ....it's off to the garage
