Colin

I've been looking around for a W126 repair manual for the 300SE W126 I've just bought, and found the following link
http://www.mbspares.com.au/workshop-manuals.html.

Please, do you know whether Australian Mercedes are similar to the European (especially UK) versions, or to the North Amrican versions?

I can find a US CD a bit cheaper, but would rather pay the extra if the Australian one is a better fit.

Thanks in anticipation.

However, if anyone else knows a UK source for W126 CDs or manuals, please reply!

Question for Colin Tigwell...

Colin

PS. I'd still be interested in the answer, but I'm no longer worried about CD costs. Heaven forbid that there is anything dodgy about the W126 manual CD I just bought on ebay for $15 +$6 carriage - as against $130!

Question for Colin Tigwell...

The link that you have listed, is to one of Australia's independant service centres.

He is an honest man, and one of the best in MB knowledge in Australia.

I would trust him and his knowledge totally.

He also is an MB enthusiest, who own many older MB's, and he is like Andy and will go out of his way to help.

His name is John Green, and if you email to his attention, I am sure, even though he is Battling a lung infection, he will help and give you the benefit of his knowledge.  He has forgotten more than I have learnt.

I will also post a means of you, and other interested people, how you can obtain his fortnightly new letter, it is full of good information, and you can be put onto the distribution list at no charge.

With every best wish.

Regards

Col Tigwell Downunder

PS have you tried checking

vossmotors@books4cars.com

All his service manuals are listed for MB's.

Another honest man, who gives good service.
