i have owned my clk 230k for about 3 weeks now and i still learn something new everyday. today i learned that you can open the windows via the keyfob by holding down the unlock button, this also opens the sunroof if you have one, there is even a memory on the windows as to how far they open, what will i learn next week i wonder. ??????

If you have the all plastic key (DAS) then you can set up the seat, mirrors and steering wheel for one driver on one key, and different settings on the other key

I think that everyone ,no matter how clever they think that they are should read the handbook, I used to keep a spare one in the little room

You can do that on a BMW. On a convertible it will open the roof. Useful in the summer....

:D See as your holding the button down, if you stop pressing it it should halt the window dropping process. So you can partially open various windows on the car, I think the windows drop in tandem and once you're roof starts to open you can't halt it half way through (they are clever cars).

Didn't know MB's had this, thought it was a BMW thing.

Press and hold the recycle button and open windows and sunroof will close. Press and hold again and they will return to original position.

I just read that the other night and didn't know that wee trick.

I use winter/summer opening often from the key so will probably use this button when the weather gets better now I know it is there.

SLK's 2, CLK320 Cabriolet.
My first mercedes was a C220D which I got new in 1993. The great thing about that car way back then, was, that when you pressed and held the lock function on the key, it closed all the windows, sunroof, door locks, set the immobiliser and alarm - how cool that was back then, when most cars struggled to give you electric windows as extras!

It must be an "expensive car" thing. Still its cool. Can't do it on my MB as it has no sun roof.

Would you like to borrow my metal cutter and fit one;)

I like the anticipation of waiting for the next fault to flash up in the dash, you never know what it will be, 99% of the time though, nothing is wrong

Oh, I like the battery protection mode. Where convience features are disabled until there is more charge on the battery. Except on winter mornings when she is frosted up and the headed rear screen won't work as the battery is protecting its sorry self despite getting a 20mile drive.
