R129 10cm door speakers repair

Both my 10cm front door speakers on my 98 have disintergrated. I cant seem to find any 2omh replacemnets anywhere, here or abroad. A also cant find anyone in UK who will do car speaker repaurs / reconing. I also cant find any supplier of reconing kits to fit, as as a last resort, i was going to have a go myself at reconing what i have. So i'm at a dead end. I know this has been mentioned before on previous posts, but anyone found a solution? Although there are some second hand ones out, they are pricey and in my mind, must be on their last legs anyway, seeing as the cone is made of paper and its a convertible car.

I am no expert when it comes to this, but I have been carrying some early research as my right speaker breaks down at pathetic volume. It came with an aftermarket HU.

I think it would be easier to change all the speakers to 4 ohm and find a cheap-ish amp to replace the one under the NSR seat

Have you tried googling '100mm 2ohm car speakers uk' as that brings up multiple options? The issue may be the depth but that is easy to check. I would go to a decent installer and give them the problem. I certainly wouldn't bother trying to re-cone them, manufacturer speakers tend to be the cheapest available and are not fit for purpose, most aftermarket speakers will sound better.

Sent both my front dash speakers away, to be rebuilt . The suspension rings degenerate through the heat . I did not want to update them i am happy with the sound from the system .Lots of speaker repair shops around .

Personally I wouldn't worry about fitting 4 Ohm units.
