R129 front grill

Bit of an old chestnut question but being a bit of newbie i guess i can ask.

My front grill (1998, 7 slat version) grill is anodised and looks dull and rubbish.

Either i try all known compounds to clean it but don't know the most recently successful one or i take a deep breath and call a dealer up for a new complete one.

Good idea or not?

Why not send it to a metal finisher for refurb?

Good idea thanks - what sort of finish did it have when brand new (so I know what to ask for)

They should be able to tell from looking at it.
