My usual motoring is short blasts around the A roads of rural Gloucestershire, but yesterday I went up to York, then back today. Mostly motorway at an indicated 70-80, a couple of long 50-limit roadworks, some congestion on the York ring road.

Brimmed it before and after - 393 miles and 50.1 litres = 35.7 mpg

!!! :)

And very pleasant too :)

That was a good figure, my 320 did about the same, not bad at all for such a heavy car

My average over a few thousand miles in my V6 SL320 is 23, but this is on LPG at 67p a litre. :D

So that's equivalent to about 44mpg in petrol costs.

I got just over just shy of 500 miles to a tank on my trip to Germany at the beginning of November on my 18" summer wheels and just over 400 miles on my trip to Paris at the end of November on my 16" winter wheels.

Best I've had is just shy of 575 miles from a full tank.

Whatever the standard tanksize is,pretty big tho took £120 to fill up with the good stuff
and all those figs were achieved night driving when motorway empty, cruise set to 65...makes a huge difference.

On way home on sunday morning, filled up at 1st services out of tunnel and I managed 375 on a tank with typical British crappy motorways forever slowing and accelerating due to lane hoggers and raodworks.

According to the tech data in the hand book, the fuel tank holds 80 litres inclusive of a 10 litre reserve for all models.

driving sub 70 on motorways I receive 31 mpg, so could probably get 500+ out of a tank full, but I choose not to, 'cause it's more fun giving it the beans, in truth I get about 18+ mpg, which I'm well happy with, I thought it would have been a lot worse:).

I wondered if there was an option to have a larger tank, like on the 124 cars.

(70 litre standard & 90 litre optional)
