R129 roof catch hole covers

Does anyone know whether there are covers available for the holes on an R129 where the roof catches are, that you can fit when the hood is down?

I agree they look pretty naff an inverted cone in grey metal. BMW have a good system of flaps that automatically cover their equivalent locating clamps when the hood is down. :???:

Guy I bought mine from was a perfectionist and although I have just had my car for a month now I have noticed the same as you and wondered also if these holes should be covered.

I think if there was something previous owner of mine would have had it.

It was only on the last Silver Arrows where they altered this with a different top panel over the rear section.

Maybe you could use the round spring from a lampshade the clips onto the bulb or the clips that keep Halogen lights in the ceiling or use that principle to hold them on
