Hi all,

Fixed it.

Once I had disconnected the switch physically from the lock mechanism it became much clearer. The switch plunger was stuck in and not quite returning to its fully retracted position, (ie switch always actuated, signal off). I think was the rubber gasket which was torn was at fault.

I got the old switch to work again when i cut the rubber gasket off, soaked it in wd40 and manipulated the switch a good number of times. Easy once you get there and a better option than £310 quoted by dealer for replacement!

Thanks for all the help. I might be able to reciprocate on the roof after the last two roof episodes! Hopefully its the last for me!!
