I have a 1994 SL320, and have a problem with the soft top roof operation.
Removing the roof into stowage works fine. (and I can drive the car with no roof alarm buzzer)
On attempting to close the roof the sequence works up to the roof locking into the front slots above the windscreen.
The sequence then stops (switch flashing) with the rear portion of the roof continuing driving toward the front of the car. (to ensure the rear shelf will not foul as it lowers into position?).
The rear shelf remains up.
By removing power I can manually close the shelf & roof then once down with pins in position then operating the switch will lock the roof in position.
Once I move then the alarm sounds.
I am assuming that the feedback from the front switches is not there?
If this is the case then how do I get access to check the switches? I assume that they are electrical feedbacks from the bottom of the locator?
Thanks in advance for any help.
