r129 sl 300 srs light reset

is it possible to reset the srs light by grounding one of the pins on the diagnostig plug or is this a dealer reset only job the car is a 92k

If its on the 38 pin socket they are all protected by a diode so that no harm can be done.

thanks for looking malcolm i think the diagnostic socket is a 16 pin if i am looking in the right place (next to nearside the strut )

SRS ECU R129 Location

Can anyone (Malcolm) tell me where the SRS ECU is located. My SL is a 1997 320 straight six. It does not appear obvious to me.
