Evening all.
I've a problem with my SL320's front wheels. She is a 99 Facelift, and after feeling the bumps in the road through the steering wheel, I had a poke around and found if I grabbed each of the front wheels they had slight movement. I checked that the wheel nuts were tight, so I'm guessing at ball joints or bearings??
I'm no mechanic sadly, so hope someone here can confirm my diagnosis. If it is the ball joints I understand it's a MOT failure (although I want them fixed MOT or not) and approx how much to repair, or is it an easy DIY?
Can someone advise.
Thanks.

There's always some play. You'll need to get it on a ramp with an assistant to find out where the play is

Sounds like wheel bearings - though only you will know when wobbling the wheels. Track rods ends seize on these cars and can be a pain to refit - so expect a few hours labour + parts if they need doing.
