Hi. My SLK has developed an odd fault. When you accelerate hard the car speeds up fine but then starts to accelerate on its own. It doesn't stick at one speed but accelerates, even with your foot off the pedal. It keeps going until you brake hard then it resets itself. It's seems to be OK if you stay below 50mph. Anyone got any ideas? The car is reporting a vehicle speed error signal. I've been told it may be the main brake control unit.
