R171 CD Changer Retrofit

Hi,

Just bought an 05 SLK 200K and want to fit a 6 CD Changer. seems it's not as straightforward as I hoped!

Has anyone fitted a changer?

The car has an Audio 20 head unit and Phone fitted. If anyone can help, I could do with some pointers on:

Part Numbers.
Sourcing Bits.
wiring locations (plugs etc)
Pictures?
Version Coding

Any help most gratefully received.

Yep, I've dont this (a few times).

It is not a simply plug and play arrangement. You will need a MOST single slot 6 disk Cd changer. Plus a fitting kit for the power and fibre cables and a mounting bracket kit.

To install the electronics you are going to need to add the Cd changer into the fibre loop, find power, earth and wakeup and splice into them. Once its all physically connected up then you will need to find someone with STAR who can code your MOST bus so the AGW in your head unit sees the changer.

There are people out there who can help/do this for you.
