I looked on your VIN :)......

https://www.datamb.com
That’s great had no idea you could do that. Is the code in the vin, or do you put the vin into a database or something? Thanks everyone so much for looking, I can order a touch up kit now

Just be aware there are several Brilliant Silvers. The paint code should be on the door shut on the B pillar drivers side. It's called Lack.

In my case 744.

My 129 and 220 are also both 744. The 210 744M and the 129 744U

The 210 is slightly darker than the 129 which in turn is darker than the 230.

In the OPs case the VIN says 744U. I didn't know there was a difference. Just looked on mine on the label on the B pillar and it says C744 but the data card says 744U.

I’ve told the paint people that it’s mb code 744... that should suffice right?

Your decals look the same as mine.
I think I’m one short, you have 3 , I have 2... I wonder if that could point to an historic respray?

Quick question.... centre console lock/latch is broken (‘hook’ is missing). Does anyone know the latch mechanism part number or whether it just easier to source an entire new lid?

Thanks for that, looks like a great source document that I’ll use in the future... sadly no centre console info
