r230 srs light on

SRS update,took the car in for further diagnostics checked today,looks like the airbag module has gone as the fault code read "the specified configuration of the control moduleAB does not correspond to the actuasl condition" Status is current.fortunately the Eis was given the all clear,there were numerous other fault code reported which now all been cleared,I was recommended to replace only the airbag module and not the eis as this passed the checks twice
with no fault showing. I was told that you can order a fully coded module from the factory based on the chassis number,can anyone verify this is correct.

I do know that you need the same one that has failed, there are 2 makes I believe and they must match...maybe one from a breaker would do the job it quite rare for them to fail.

Hi Malcolm its the control module under the centre console,below the ashtray

You will have to take the part number off yours and you can use a later version
022 EBF F 06943420031031 804
023 FOR REPAIR WORK MAKE SURE THAT ONLY CONTROL UNITS AND SENSORS FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER ARE INSTALLED.
023 TWO DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS MAY NOT BE USED.

Where is the plug for the seat belt. My srs light is on, been checked on star by an indie, and he said the sensor in the seat and wiring unit need replacing. But i just noticed that the seat belt warning light does not come on. Could this be related, or has it been unplugged.
Its a sl55 amg, only had it a month, so still learning how to use all the features.

it is all in the front seat connector under the seat, its all one big connector
