Today I had booked in 1 of my friends fathers car, he has the car washed weekly at a drive through hand car wash as he's always really busy and never has the time to clean it himself.
The car has 75k on it and over a month ago he was driving round with the brake pads worn on the offside, He didn't realise how much damaged he had caused until it took it to the car wash the otherday and noticed all orange rust dot all along the offside of the car, The front wheel was baked in solid metal fillings too never seen a wheel so bad.
Anyway car arrived this morning at 8am so I could get cracking, started off with taking the wheel off for a proper inspection.
So I started by soaking the wheel will some fallout remover from Autosmart, this was left for a couple of mins and then agitated with a brush, this worked a little but not much so out with some neat smartwheels and some tardis and after 1 hr of scrubbing the wheel was finally clean.
Next I inspected the rest of the car.
I had never felt paint so bad in all my life it was like rubbing your hand on 800 grit :censored:.
So firslty the rest of the wheel were cleaned using smart wheels and a selection of brushes, the arches and tyres were cleaned using APC.
Then the car was pre-soaked using a citrus de-greaser and left for a few mins then rinsed.
The car was then snow foamed using ssf and left for 6 mins and rinsed, then washed using a 2bm with woolmitt and extreme wash'n'wax then rinsed.
Then I tackled the offside of the car with all the metal fallout contamination I spray around the trim areas and the handles with the fallout remover then agitated with a swissvax brush as it was tricky, the car was then clayed using sonus green and last touch as a claying aid to avoid marring.
The car was then re-washed again and rinsed and then dried using miracle drying towel and last touch.
I then gave the car a quick polish using SRP to hide so marks and then 2 coats of CG Blitz sealant and topped off with a coat of collinite 476's.
All the plastics and tyres were then dressed and the glass polished.
I then tackled the interior giving it a thorough hoover and wipe down with APC and then dressed with natural look dressing.
Finished pics:
Total time 7 hrs
Thanks for looking
